FAQ

Do I need a referral for your services?

You do not require a doctor’s referral to be assessed and treated by any of the physiotherapists, registered massage therapists, chiropractors, or naturopaths at the Adelaide Health Clinic, as they are all primary healthcare professionals.

However, some extended health insurance policies will require that you submit a doctor’s referral in order to process your claim. We recommend that you call your insurance provider to determine what they require in order to reimburse your payment.

Are your services covered by OHIP or my insurance?

Many of our services offered in the Clinic are covered by extended health benefit plans. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider to ensure you are covered and to inquire about what they may require in order to reimburse you.

Do you accept workplace safety and insurance board (WSIB) and motor vehicle accident claims?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept worker’s compensation (WSIB) or motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims at our offices, as we are not set-up to work with third party payers at this time.

How can I book an appointment?

Patients can schedule appointments here, by phone, or via email.

What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?

The Clinic has a strict 24 hour cancellation policy for all services. We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule appointments.

Where can I park when I visit the Clinic?

Parking is available in First Canadian Place. It can be accessed via York Street or Adelaide Street.  Information regarding pricing can be found here

What are the Clinic’s hours?

The Clinic is open Monday - Friday from 7:30am – 6:00pm.

Do you bill my insurance directly?

No, at this time we do not offer direct billing. At the end of each visit, following payment, you will be provided a detailed receipt for the service(s) provided. At that point, you may submit the receipt to your extended health benefit provider for reimbursement.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, or Amex.

Is my therapist licensed?

All practitioners at the Adelaide Health Clinic are licensed and in good standing with their respective college/association.

Where is the nearest pharmacy?

There is a Rexall pharmacy across the hall from our Clinic in First Canadian Place.

Will I receive a reminder about my appointment?

We do offer a 48-hour email reminder service. In order to receive these reminders, patients must have a verified valid email on file.

Can I get vaccines at your office (including travel vaccines, flu shot, etc.)?

We carry and administer many publicly funded vaccines. For the vaccines we do not carry, our physicians can prepare a prescription so you may pick them up at a nearby pharmacy. In the instance of travel related vaccines, the physicians may refer to a designated travel clinic. In order to receive a vaccine at the Adelaide Health Clinic, you would need to be a patient of one of our family physicians.

I really respect the way the service providers work together as a team.
