| Our family physician, Dr Gaurav Bhardwaj, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto and successfully completed his Medical Residency in Family Medicine (University of Toronto). He also holds a Masters of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Western Ontario under the supervision of Dr. M. Bhatia (Robart’s Research Institute). Dr Bhardwaj holds many professional affiliations that include: College of Family Physicians (CFPC), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), Canadian Medical Association (CMA), and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA).
In addition to Dr Bhardwaj’s contribution to healthcare, he has contributed to the wider academic community by publishing his research titled “Sonic Hedgehog Induces the Proliferation of Primitive Human Hematopoietic Cells via BMP Regulation” in Nature Immunology along with scientific abstracts in the American Society of Hematology. Dr Bhardwaj served in many volunteer roles in the Youth Science Academy (University of Western Ontario), Graduate Student Representative (University of Western Ontario), St Felix Mentorship Program (University of Toronto) and participated in a teaching program to introduce elementary school children to the world of science (Let’s Talk Science Program at the University of Western Ontario).
Dr Bhardwaj has played within the University intramural volleyball circuit and was a member of the Varsity Cross-Country Team. Dr Bhardwaj works part-time at East Toronto General Hospital and is also a part-time addition to the impressive staff at the Adelaide Health Clinic. |
